Saturday, 1. July 2006: Short evening Bicycle ride to Gries im Sellrain

After my course I start with my mountain bike from my quarter in Sellrain/Tauegert (1.100 m) first down the narrow mountain road to the centre of the village of Sellrain (908 m). Then I take the permanent ascent via the Sellrain valley to Gries im Sellrain (1.187 m) and further a short part of the road to Luesens, till shortly before Juifenau (1.381 m), then back on the same way.

Friday 30.6., 8.30 p.m. Arrived here, I shall have to get used to that breathtaking view over the Inn valley ...

Saturday, 1.7. 6 p.m.: Inn valley - panorama in direction east, as seen from Sellrain/Tauegert. Click into the picture for a larger version.

In the centre of Sellrain, with Melach - beck

The water of the Melach is a bit milky turbid, especially on warm summer evenings, resulting from glacier melting water transporting finely bevelled rock powder from the ground of the glacier.
