Around Lake Afritz and on the Totelitzen (1.990 m)
I join the familiy for a short morning walk around Lake Afritz.

Wonderful reflections in the water.
At the southern end of the loake, the path goes up a little bit. This was the road we drove up yesterday heading for the Mirnock. Click here or into the picture for a larger version.
The baths at the southern end of the lake.
Crossing the bridge over the outflow of the lake.
Clouds are drawing in on our way back. So, this last picture of spruce tree pollen on the surface of the water.
Back at the hotel in Bad Kleinkirchheim, I decide that the day is too young to retire to inside. So, I break up once more and drive up to the Ploninger inn, where I have my start at an altitude of about 1.300 m. My destination is "somewhere up here" - as long as the weatgher permits before the forecast rain. I am always appalled by the view of ski pistes in summer ...
View down to Bad Kleinkirchheim ...
... and into the side valley of St. Oswald.
Reaching the mountain pasture region
This little hut is situated at about 1.800 m First showers on the mountains opposite.
Light larch forest ...
... is reaching nearly up to the ridge, ...
... at 1.990 m, on the fingerposts signed out as "Totelitzen". A few minutes beforee I reach this point, heavy rain sets in, so I put the camera, the lenses and the spare battery into an exped bag and to the rucksack. No more pictures. The way further to the Falkert (2.308 m) is cancelled.
