Hohe Wand 12. + 13.102010
Dense mist is laying over Winzendorf. I have a commitment in Stollhof and take my camera with me. You never know, how far the mist will reach up. And indeed: Approximately at the altitude of Stollhof the mist clears. So, after my commitment, I drive a bit up, to the first big curve of the road up Hohe Wand.

A bit more down, near Stollhof, another fine view.
On the drive back: The mist is drawing back, and ruin Emmerberg ist clearing gradually.
13.10.2010: motivated by yesterday´s experience, I once more try to secape the mist, however it is reaching much further up today. Near the parking ground at "Kleine Kanzel" at 8:30 a.m. last rays of sunshine ore popping through the mist.
At Große Kanzel near Eicherthuette I discover that there are two layers of mist: one beneath me, and one above me.

... Goesing popping out.
Only with the help of HDR I can manage a decent shot of Schneeberg with trees also visible. The cloud layer above me is visible here in front of Schneeberg, laying in about 1.300 to 1.400 m altitude, and only thanks to a small hole in it I am able to look over to Schneeberg.
