2./3.8. 2016: Journey and Arrival.
800 km highway drive till Split, then we were extremely lucky to catch one of the last places on the next ferry to Supetar.
The habour of Split.
And off we sail.
Split is a big seaport, wonderfully surrounded by mountains.
Seagulls are accompanying the ferry.
We meet the ferry sailing in the opposite direction.

After half an hourīs drive through narrow and twisting road we arrive in our cottage, 2 km outside of Milna. The house is situated above a cove, with a wonderful view to the sea and to the neighbouring island Hvar ...
... and a pine forest behind.
The Highlight is the L- shaped pool.
View from the first floor over the pool. All 8 persons find enough space inside the cottage.
We inspect the small beach place belonging to the house - a narrow concrete platform with a ladder, as can be expected here in Croatia.
There is a sunshade and two beds ...
In the evening, we go for dinner in a restaurant in Milna. This is the view over the large marina.
3.8.2016. A lazy day at the pool. It is so quiet, that even the seagulls dare to come close, ...
...
... to drink from the water.
A view to our house from the corner of the pool.
Short shopping tour with the bicycle to Milna - thanks Gerhard for borrowing your bike.
Early evening, I walk Lucy to a small headland near the cove, cross country at its end, ...
... but with a good view to the neighbouring island of Hvar ...
... and back into the cove.
Evening in Milna ...
... and a starry night at the cottage - with the new moon, the nights are rather dark - only the distant lights of the island of Hvar.
