10.6.2019: Morning walk to the Höheralm and homeward journey.
The guests are allowed to use the wellness area of the hotel Wasnerin on the departure day till late afternoon. But - what happens with the dogs? To enable the girls to use the wonderful roof terrasse near the pool, with its gorgeous view around, I offer them what I anyway more like to do: a late morning walk with the dogs. So, I drive up to the Sommersbergsee and walk through the forest, heading for the Plöcken pass.
Here, on the foothills of the Sarstein, there are lots of wells (partly used for water supply) and wet areas. These give room to bird's-eye primroses (Primula farinosa).

It is hot and humid, the dogs burn up a bit, but they find plenty of water to drink.
At the Höheralm, at nearly 1.000 m asl, thousands of bogbeans (Menyanthes trifoliata) are flowrishing in the boggy meadow.

Near the way back, on a different route, another wet meadow with Bird's-eye primroses (Primula farinosa) in abundance.
