6.8.2019: Kaiserklamm and Lake Reintal

After yesterday´s rain, the sky is overcast today. Better stay down on such a day, so we decide to drive to the Kaiserklamm near Brixlegg ("emperor´s gorge" - the emperor Franz Josef is said to have had fun looking at the workers drifting trunks through the gorge).

Much water in the beck after the rain.

The path is exposed and cut out of the steep slope.

A short tunnel in one place.

The path has been there for many decades, it was laboriously built by wood workers for monitoring the drifting of the trunks.

The dogs have to be on the lead for safety reasons.

Above the gorge - as rather often - a lovely river dale.

We sit down for a rest at the river bend.

The dogs have a dip in the water.

Walking back now.

Back at the entrance of the gorge.

Having wwlked only for a short leg, we make ta short detour to the lake Reintal.
