14.2.2025: Visit of the Simba Vision Elementary School in Madebe.
Today is a "half day of rest" - we visit the Simba Vision Elementary school in Madebe, which is not very far from the lodge.
Sunrise behind Kilimandscharo, and once more different. Lesse Laizer, the manager of the lodge, says, it is different ever day.
Today, clouids are drawing in from Kenia, which soon are hiding Kilimandscharo.
We visit the Simba Vision Elementary school in Madebe in the Maasai - land.
Yesterday it has rained, and there are children living in houses where it rains into the house - therefore, exercise books are put into the sunshine to get them dry.
Grand scaled school area.
Lorli with our guide. As a distinctive feature, this school has a first floor; some of the children were frightened at first because they never saw something before.
As my former godchild has left the Pamoja Secondary School and does not need more support, I was given a new godchild: Ezekiel Jackson, 3rd form of the Simba vision elementary school.
Lorli (who was a secondary school teacher before she retired) and Wilfried visiting an empty class room during the big break.
Beautiful courtyard of the school.
Large school area.
In the afternoon, inside the lodge are, on the way to the pool: Hibiscus flavifolius (best translated with "yellow-leaved Hibiscus").
Hibiscus flavifolius
Flowrishing bush near the pool which I cannot identify.
Special visit at the pool, where we lay around lazily in the afternoon.
