Bicycle round tour Salzkammergut 20.5.2004
On congress in Salzkammergut (Salzburg). My wife is first at her congress. On Bank holiday (20.5.) I take the kids in my bicycle hanger and start for a ride through Salzkammergut. Starting from our accomodation in Strobl, then riding alongside Wolfgangsee to St. Gilgen, then a round on Mondsee, on south end of Attersee and at least (on a steep gravel road) via Moosalm and Schwarzensee back to Strobl - about 50 km all in all.
On the evening before a short "investigational" tour to Strobl with a good view on lake St. Wolfgang
From the south shore of Lake St. Wolfgang a view to Schafberg and the village St. Wolfgang
View westward to Zwoelferhorn
Zooming in on St. Wolfgang
Flourishing meadows on south shore of lake St. Wolfgang
Mondsee ("Lake moon"): View in direction southeast to Schafberg (on right edge of picture behind there is lake St. Wolfgang)
Drachenwand ("dragon wall") is raising strikingly over Mondsee
On south shore of Attersee: View to Hoellengebirge ("hells range")
Fieberklee (Menyanthes trifoliata) on Moosalm - I canīt stop here for longer, because the kids become increasingly unpatient. However, I decide to come back.
Schwarzensee, embedded in wooden hills between Attersee and lake St. Wolfgang
In the evening once more a walk to Strobl to watch the sunset behind lake St. Wolfgang
