Weiße Ois 27.5.2018

A walk with Herwig Gießwein along the dale of the White Ois, the beginning of the river Ybbs.

We start from Neuhaus neart the Zellerrain saddle and walk up through the gorge of the Höllertal beck, then over the small saddle iof the Kalbergatterl und the short leg down into the Ois valley, then we turn west walking down the Ois to the reservois and back via the saddle of the Jägertalhöhe.

Wonderful morning light still earlier than 8 a.m. in the Höllertal gorge.

Dozens of Western marsh orchids (Dactylorhiza majalis) an dieser feuchten Stelle.
