A short morning walk from Teichmühle near Winzendorf to Stollhof, Maiersdorf and back.

Shortly after Teichmühle, I branch off with the car into a narrow gravel road and park the car at a crossing. From there, I walk along a beck heading for Stollhof.

Here you should see Schneeberg, but it is in the dust and in the shadow of clouds, so it is even difficult to see it with naked eye.

But you can see Hohe Wand in the background here.

You wouldn´t believe, but spring is coming this year  ...

Wild garlic is out!

... it is April and the cornel sherries are flourishing still!

Hollowroot (Corydalis cava)

Still snow along the beck.

View back to Schlossberg and ruin Emmerberg

Near Stollhof I branch off and walk a lane in parallel to Hohen Wand heading for Maiersdorf.

Lesser Celandine (Ficaria verna) along the road.

 ... Cornel sherries in flower.

View back to Stollhof

Near a row of trees lots of primroses (Primula vulgaris).

Back from Maiersdorf having crossed fields and grassland. This beck ...

... is nearly full with melting water from Hohe Wand.

Shortly before the end of my walk I meet the training ground of Winzendorf´s archers, of course deserted on a morning during the week.

Lots of coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara) flourishing here.

One of the two becks adjacent to the training ground

The archers seem to dream of shooting animals - not allowed in Austria!

This picture of liverwort (Hepatica nobilis) was sent to me by Robert Hansmann (c).
