It´s orchid time, so I join Herwig Gießwein on a walk on the Marzer Kogel.

View down to Marz, with the Rosalia mountains in behind. Too dusty today to get a view of Schneeberg.

Inside the forest we the find the first Lady´s orchid (Orchis purpurea)

On a separated grass area we find very special orchids: Military orchid (Orchis militaris), ...

  ... Lady´s orchid (Orchis purpurea) ...

 ... and a few huge hybrids of Military and Lady´s orchids - compare with Lucy.

We left and walked hgalf way down on another descent. Here, we find ther first flowers of White dittany (Dictamnus albus)

At the end of our tour, we have to have a short visit to that hidden (and secret) place, where every year a group of Lady´s slipper orchids (Cypripedium calceolus) is flowrishing.
