14.9.2021: Landschitz lakes/Lessach dale.

We drive to Tamsweg and further on to Lessach and into the Lessach dale.

Ground fog from the beginning of the Seetal, through Tamsweg and Lessach, and nearly to the branching off to the Lanschitz lakes.

Off we go now in bright sunshine.

First through the forest, passing by a waterfall ...

... until we cross a scree above the waterfall

Steep slopes all around.

Shortly we shall reach ...

 ... the upper Bacheralm.

Crossing first grassland now ...

View back to the upper Bacheralm.

The next valley step, and behind is the lower Landschitz lake.

View back, along the beck.

The lower Landschitz lake is beautifuly embedded between larch woods.

The Lower Landschitz laker with its outflow.

Now further up along the slope to the right, with the view back to the Lower Landschitz lake.

Now we get the view to the highest, with quite a difference, mountain of the Niedere Tauern, the Hochgolling (2.862 m).

Once more, we find huge areas of blueberries with red leaves.

Hochgolling

Hochgolling. A few weeks ago, this area got some new snow, so this may be the reason for the early red leaves of the blueberries.

Finally reached the medium Landschitz lake, we had to climb much higher to circumvent steep escarpments.

One more view back to the Hochgolling.

We climb the small hill with teh bench near the way, from where we have a perfect view to the Medium Landschitzs lake as well as to the Hochgolling.

View to Hochgolling and to the Lower Landschitz lake ...

... and to the Medium Landschitz lake. We decide to turn back now, the further path goes down to the lake level and then once more up to the Upper Landschitz lake ansteigt. Too much to walk back the whole distance.
