Flowers near Bad Fischau 8.6.2013

I have promised to Herwig Gießwein to show him the flours of the Adriatic Lizard Orchids. SO, I have to know when they are out. With this "excuse", I take my mountain bike to have a look.

On the way there the first poppies  ...

... and then, the "Dittany - Symphony", as Robert Hansmann has called it, a faithful visitor of my site (this is the second "movement" of the symphony).

Narrow leaved flax (Linum tenuifolium)

Bloody Cranesbill (Geranium sanguineum) still flourishing.

Grass lilies (Ornithogalum umbellatum)

Flowers a bit above the "lily grassland"

Fruits of the  Austrian Viper´s Grass (Scorzonera austriaca)

Rough leaved Alant (Inula hirta)

Where hundreds of dwarf iris are flourishing in April, ...

... we now get Felsen Goldlack (Erysimum sylvestre)

At the outskirts of the woods I find the Violet Limodore (Limodorum abortivum)

Mulleins in bulk ...

 .. and in detail.

Once more White Dittany (Dictamnus albus)

The last flowers of the  "Big milkwort" (Polygala major)

Yellow Broomrape (Orobanche lutea)

And here it is: the first flowers of the Adriatic Lizard Orchid (Himantoglossum adriaticum). One of many exemplars has its very first, deepest flowers of the whole florescence. So, it should last still 1 or 2 weeks till full bloom

I change to a small grassland opposite the road Dittany ...

Small-leaved grape hyacinth (Muscari tenuiflorum)

Mullein

Dittany

Following the hint of a friend, I ride a bit heading for Weikersdorf and find some  black henbane (Hyoscyamus niger).

Near the henbane, I find a fascinating poppies´ field.(Papaver rhoeas).
